What are the Goals of the Council?
 Founded in 1976, CfMA fosters the public awareness, concern, and responsibility for the conservation of archeological resources in Maryland.
 Promoting research, preservation, and management of archeological resources in Maryland.
 Encouraging public outreach and education in Maryland Archeology, such as Archeology Month.
 Quarterly meetings serve as a forum for the exchange of information about Maryland archeology.
 Coordinating lobbying efforts in support of legislation affecting Maryland archeology.
 Establishing ethical and research standards for the conduct of archeology in Maryland.

What are the Benefits of Membership?

 By attending quarterly meetings you will contribute to the discussion of issues relevant to Maryland archeology.
 You will receive updates on legislation involving archeological resources in Maryland.
 You will participate in periodic workshops associated with quarterly meetings. Past events have included a NAGPRA workshop, archeological site tours, and guest speakers.
